Calgary hotel suggestions

So, thanks for the replies regarding hotels in Vancouver. All booked. So, now I’m looking for recommendations for Calgary. We have the Fairmont Palliser booked for 2 nights as part of the Rocky Mountaineer but we’re looking to stay on in Calgary for another week (niece and husband live there)and a little cheaper than the Fairmont.

Never been, but if you watch A Spoon full of sugar vloggers on youtube, they went to Calgary a few years ago so you might get some ideas from that? Also Party of three, who went with them!

We stayed at the International Hotel and Suites on 4th Avenue. It was included as the pre-departure night on our Rocky Mountaineer tour. I'm pretty sure it was quite nice and breakfast was included, although I'm struggling to remember much about it.

Delta Hotel Downtown or Fairmont Palliser if you want something pricier - I was impressed with the lobby but the Delta was a great stay and great location.
