Unless you are a person who wants to plan what you will wear each day in advance they are useless. You end up having to open multiple cubes everyday instead of just flicking through items.
Or you could put all your T-shirts in one, and shorts in another, for example?

I use them but I use them to split the peoples clothes between cases - so that if we loose a case we can still manage as within each case there are 2/3 days of clothes (Inc underwear and swimwear) plus a pair of shoes.
So inside 1 case will be 4 cubes, 1 for each person.

This is my way of thinking, love the tidy approach

Basically zip pouches you use to pack your clothes in then put in your case or hold-all
If you buy them I’d recommend ones that have zips that open on 3 sides but a cheap set first andbif you like them invest in stronger ones
What I put in ours for each both of us
Nightwear
Underwear socks
T-shirt or top x4
Shorts or trousers for DH
Shorts trousers or dress plus 2 T-shirt’s and
Cardigan or shawl I hate AC in restaurants
Shoes and flip flops for me
Toiletries make up hair dryer
That for the first night /stop then dirty stuff back in shoes toiletries make up hair dryer
Moved to the next cube
Dirty stuff back in original cube
Works for us
We even have the small cubes for chargers etc for hand luggage
Love them

I like the MiaTui ones. The website had 25% off on travel items. Not sure if it's still valid. TRAVEL25

So they are a way of bundling stuff together rather than a case stacked with all manner of clothes and 'things'?

Have a look on YouTube, there are loads of demos of how to use packing cubes. That's where I first found out about them.

Here is a very neat example from Google...
