Bahama Bay resort anyone?

I dont think I've seen this resort before and would like to know more about it.

Anyone stayed there? How old is it? Can you walk anywhere for food? Quality of the suites and pool?

Thank you
Sarah

It’s beautiful , the condos are private owners .bahamabaylisa is an owner on here who is more than happy to help .
The resort is set back near the 192 and has a very tranquil feel . We love it. It’s close to the 192 where there is an abundance of restaurants and mageritaville and a winery. It will be our 4th visit here next year, great location, great facilities and away from the hustle but close enough to the parks. Pools are fab , lake and restaurant and bar .

As stated the condos are lovely, as much space as a villa. Fully gated so you feel really safe, on site are a couple of pools, a restaurant. Its not a long drive to Disney. Although its close to the 192, you couldn't easily walk to any restaurants, apart from the on-site one

Unfortunately we weren't keen. Our condo was run down, beds old, lights not working, shower dripping, outside space green with algae. The resort itself was nice, although the pool bar nearest to us was constantly closed, even though we went in July. There was also a lot of music late at night into the early hours, which has put us off another condo stay and we will stick to villas.

I wouldn't want to attempt to walk anywhere for food outside of Bahama Bay. Applebees at Berry Town Center is at least 1.5 miles along a very busy highway27. Bahama Breeze on the 192 is nearer 6 miles. We have stayed at BB half a dozen times and use it now as a fall back if we can't get in anywhere else. We have been less than happy on one occasion when we thought that we had got a deal too good to be true and it was. The place was scruffy and tired. If we had done more homework like we usually do then we would not have been in this situation. We would not allow that one experience to put us off entirely and we would return again.

I think they're individually owned. One of our Dibbers owns at that resort, hopefully, she'll be along soon to add further info.

Eta - it's BahamaBayLisa

We've stayed there (through Lisa). Lovely unit. Lovely resort. On the back road to the 192 (Florence Villa Grove Road)
What certainly stay there again if we go back to Florida.

Sorry for not posting for a while, I've been offline. The resort was built between 2003-2005. All the condos are individually owned, so owners are responsible for upgrades and many of us do that on a regular basis. The resort property is very well maintain, spread over 72 acres with lots of green space, nature trails, 4 pool areas plus a kiddies splash pad, clubhouse reception with Cenote spa, and the Tradewinds restaurant.

You ideally need a car because it is not easy to walk anywhere off property but it is located only a few minutes drive from a wide range of restaurants and shops.

If you would like any more info please feel free to message me
