Missing the light hearted

I guess they are right when they say 'you dont appreciate what you have till its gone'

I am missing the light hearted and amusing side to the forum. I have backed off a bit myself so can understand others have too.

Anybody got something rediculous and obscure to say

A lot of us are wondering where Mickey House is and hoping he's OK. He last visited 10 days ago.

I've posted a few light hearted or holiday related replies recently and simply avoid all the negativity on the "current issues" forum.

Didnt mention him as I know it's against forum rules to mention someone elses posting habits. I know Colette has had WhatsApp from him so he is ok.

Just need to feel the lighter side of life.

I went down the dole last week and told them I was unemployed due to the pandemic. They asked me what I did, and I told them I was a burglar...…

(Not really, but that made me laugh when I read it so I hope it lifts some folk on here!)

I think it's OK to say you've noticed someone's absence.

Something ridiculous to say, well according to my darling wife I am a zen master in that department 😂😂😂😂, something obscure I know the name of the astronaut who was left in the command module during the first moon landing.

This is why I started my ‘general chat as we knew it’ thread last year, and there are other similar threads on here too. It’s been nice to just have a chat on there, about gardening, days out and just a chat with friends (as I think of the contributors on the thread now)

We need a break from the pandemic and the constant stresses of it at the moment, threads like this one and the others setting out to be uplifting are exactly what we need
