More hopeful or less hopeful?

How is everyone’s feeling on travel to US this summer?
We have Florida booked for early July. Two/three weeks ago I was thinking that there was zero chances of that holiday going ahead!
But now I am 50/50 🤔

I am hopeful for June but I think as long as nothing unexpected occurs you will get there in July.

I’m feeling a bit less hopeful. I’m worried about getting told to isolate the week before or even while we are there. What would you we do?

Probably about 75% for July/August onwards. IMO.

They’ve vaccinated over 47 million people with the first dose, which is approximately 20% of the adult population.

In another 4 months if they carry on at the current rate then most over 18’s who want the vaccine (as I’m sure there will be a proportion who won’t have it) will have had at least one dose with a decent proportion having had both.

That’s why I’m 75%.

The US is ramping up again with the FDA about to approve the Johnson and Johnson jab which is single dose. We're optimistic about July, but I am not planning on doing Disney at the moment - if they lift some of the restrictions I might. Frankly if I just get some sun, some pool and beach time, and a cocktail or two, I'll be happy!

I think my optimism is increasing by the day.
I think we will see travel open for the summer. With huge vaccination programmes both in the UK and USA, and the unbelievably good effectiveness of the vaccines, I cant see what will stop travel in the summer.
If they approve the JJ vaccine as expected today, this will improve the outlook even further.
