Hong Kong Disney hotels

Well we have booked our flights for next year (May) and are looking at accommodation in Singapore and Hong Kong. We were thinking of booking a couple of nights at a HK Disney hotel but can't seem to get any date past March showing for next year. Does anyone know if this Is this normal?

we found them very late to publish hotels and park dates - sooo frustrating when Florida gets you booking your meals 6 months ahead lol!

drove me nuts, seems to be the thing in Asia, or at least Disney in Asia

Yeah we went in May this year and only booked our Disney hotel in the April.

We stayed at the new explorers lodge hotel which was great and we really enjoyed the Dragon Wind character breakfast.

been meaning to ask about the character meal - what sort of things did they have and which characters and what costumes?
We had the Chef Mickey again (Hollywood Hotel) and got to say it's the best breakfast we've had anywhere in the world as so much choice with Oriental, Asian, European, American... choices were amazing!

The day we went it was Mickey, Minnie & Donald, not sure if that's normal or it it changes etc. They were all in their explorer costumes which was great as we then saw them in their HK outfits in the park.

Yeah there was a big choice of food for breakfast. The characters all come round so I spent longer taking pics of that rather than any food etc so cant really remember what it was but sounds similar as there was Oriental, European and American.

Yeah we would love to go back too; it was so wet (there was red rainstorm warning in the morning which turned to black once we got to the park) the last day we were there so didn't get to explore outside any of the hotels etc before our last day in the park which was a shame.

We did one day at the park from Kowloon with friends then the second after our night at the explorers lodge. Once we checked in we did the buddha then used the pool once we got back.
