Thanks Mick for that answer. Will probably just drive through Sunpass and have it charged to our credit card.

Thanks. Have read the link, do we have to activate the Sunpass ourselves, or is this done automatically by Alamo?

Just drive through and a camera will take a photo of your number plate. That's all there is to it.

If you are driving down the 417 south from MCO for instance and you drive through the Sunpass lane at the first toll you are then committed to the Alamo daily admin charge so you may as well stay in the Sunpass lane at the next plaza to get your money's worth.

That sounds very straightforward, thank you. We have been to Florida 4 times before, but as I said, not for 10 years now, so we have lots of questions as I am sure loads of things have changed since the last time we went out.

I'm sure that you'll have a great time. If you're going to the parks have a look at the "Theme Park Timeline" half way down the DIBB menu on the right.

Just to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone for the helpful info/hints/tips in this whole thread. I just had a total nightmare trying to get Skip The Counter to work. I booked with Alamo Brits & prepaid as usual, but have never had problems like I did this time.

OLCI worked fine, no problems. I didn't add any extras and the "to pay" amount was correct at Ł0.00 as I've prepaid. I got an email confirming I'd done OLCI but, to my horror, there was no barcode (which I expected) so the pressure was on for Skip the Counter to work! After OLCI it gave me a link on the screen to click for STC which looked promising until I wanted to add payment, then it took me to the dreaded "this page does not exist/has expired...". Then I tried the link to STC in the email but it was the same problem.

Finally I used the work around suggested, by going back into the booking as if doing OLCI again. It said "this booking cannot be cancelled or modified" but all details were correct and there was a STC button on the left of the screen. I clicked on this and it worked like a dream! Phew, I was having a mini breakdown in the middle of all that.

Just had to share and say thank you so much for all the advice!

Probably a dumb thing to ask but...

I'm doing the Online check in now...

It says Drivers License*

What do I put there ? The name of the person, the long code or something else

Its the license number. The long code that should be a mixture of letters and numbers.
Hope that helps
