Mobile 10 year old on DDP

Hi, when we next go we plan to get DDP again however my then 10 year old will be classed as an adult and I doubt he’ll eat half the things on an adult menu. Can he still have something off the kids menu? And if I wanted to save his adult table credits could I pay OOP for a kids meal for him?

Thank you!

Yes, he can still order from the child's menu. Our children also mixed and matched between the adult and child menu - steak from the adult, broccoli from the child, for example. They'll also cook things plain, with sauces on the side etc, so are very flexible - you just need to ask

You can also pay for a child's meal oop to save credits, but it's not worth doing at any character meals, buffets or dinner shows as being 10, you'd have to pay the adult price regardless of how much he'd eat.

Yes it’s fine to use adult credits for a child’s meal of pay for a child’s meal out of pocket. My daughter is 16 now and has been doing this for years. Just check your receipt though because they do make errors when you do something less than the norm sometimes. Also know you can sometimes ask for a child’s meal but a larger portion and use an adult credit. Not sure it’s a formal thing but we have asked and done this many times. Also. DD has chosen a child’s main course but the adult desert several times. You’ll pay an adults credit for that of course, just letting you know you have options!

We did this last year. Our children were 12 & 10 and both had kids meals.
