The pin is needed to charge, but there isn't a master pin that allows it, so you can all have different pins. If you want the kids to be allowed to charge to your room, then you need to let the cm know at check in so they can authorise it for them. They'll then use their personal pins to do it

Just read and completed this fantastic report now! Brilliant! I’ve loved it. Takes me back to our last Disney onsite stay, which was 2016!
Can I ask you about the room you booked at Premier Inn? Are there many hotels do these day rooms? It seems a good idea like you say to stop yourself having to drive straight home when so tired Thanks xx |

Do you mean my report? We always book the Premier Inn for when we land back home, but it's a standard booking (always saver rate) rather than a day room. If we've got a flight that arrives early in the morning, then I book 2 nights - the night we're flying and the night we land. This means that we can check in as soon as we arrive and crash for as long as we want. As we always stay before flying out too, I talk to reception to explain that we won't be checking in for our return stay until the morning so that they put a note on our reservation rather than assume we're a no show. As this flight landed later, we didn't need the first night, but I talked to reception to ask if we could get an early check in and they noted it on the system for me and it all worked out well

How does the free dining plan work if you split your stay?
We're thinking of 7 nights in 1 Disney hotel and 7 nights in another Disney Hotel followed by 2 nights in another Disney Hotel. Can we still receive the free dining even though the last hotel stay is below the minimum required but the total stay is enough?

It would only give you free DDP on the first stay. Only way you could get it for the second would be to do a separate booking which would also mean buying park tickets again as part of the package.
The first hotel DDP credits would expire at midnight of check out at first hotel. |

Because you have to buy tickets to get free dining split stays don’t really work. I wouldn’t split my stay with 3 hotels but you could book one with free dining and tickets and a second with the free nights offer. Otherwise you need to stick to one hotel to get free dining for your whole stay or cancel out the free food with extra tickets you don’t really need.

That’s interesting and could work 😊. When does the free nights offer come out then? Could you also get, say, 21 day tickets with a 7 night hotel stay so they would cover the rest of our time?

Free nights is released after free dining finishes, normally in December time. You can buy any length of tickets for your first booking so that you can cover the rest of your holiday.
