Wheelchair hire

Happy New Year Dibbers,

My first post this year

We are off to Orlando in July and my mum is coming with us, she can walk but not all day and she said she would be happy to have a wheelchair and DS (16) has said he would push.

My thoughts are it's going to be expensive to hire one in the parks (doing Disney, SeaWorld and shopping) and as we have booked a 7 seater for the 5 of us it might be worth hiring one for the 21 days.

So my question is who would you recommend for either a scooter or a push around?

Hi ,
We ordered a wheelchair from Applescooter.com in Nov/Dec2017.
Very satisfied, no problems. Will be using them again in September .
Cost $50 for 3 days and then $5 a day for additional days.
They collect /deliver to certain places. Hope that's helpful.

Thanks for that, just looking at Walmart and I can buy a fairly decent one for $115

For 21 days you may be better off buying a wheelchair. I definitely wouldn't get a scooter if your 16 year old is willing to do most of the pushing. I push my DD full time now. She is bigger than me and I still manage full days in Disney.

You could bring the wheelchair back to the UK for free if you think it might be useful for days out as well.

Thanks for this, my mum was offered one for free from her friend yesterday so will take that if necessary
