Magic Bands query

My DIL is staying off site and has purchased her tickets with Disney together with the memory maker. If they want Magic Bands do they have to purchase them? I presume they will be given card type tickets? Many thanks

If they want magic bands, they'll need to purchase them when they're in Florida (airport, with 10% extra tax, or in the parks) and have them linked to their MDX account

they will indeed have credit card type tickets

they need to link their tickets to their MDX account, at least 30 days out to be able to make FP+ selections

when they're in Florida, they can either pick up the tickets by echanging their eticket/voucher at a ticket window/guest relations (in case they didn't already get a plastic ticket)
or they can purchase a magic band and use them for park entry/FP+ as soon as the MBs are linked to their account. in which case, no need to pick up tickets

Hello sorry to jump in, we are a family of 5 and going again in November (we've been 4 times before) and always got the tickets beforehand, we will be staying off-site and my DH was wondering about these Magicbands as this is probably the last time we will be going as a family again and my DH fancies the Magicbands this time, whereabouts can we purchase them, (I know we would have to link them to our cards via MDX) but also do you know how much the bands cost too please.
