Mobile Family experience of V Room

Sorry for reposting regarding this but just wondering what people’s experinces where in the V Room? I’m debating whether to book it or not. We are a family of 4. Kids will be aged 6 & 3. I think it will make life easier but is it worth £84? Trying to convince DH as we can easily spend that much on food and usually get conned into buying the kids a toy so hopefully this will keep them pre-occupied 😊

We have never seen the need for a lounge unitil we got it included in a Thomas cook holiday and since then we have booked lounges everytime as it’s a great start to the holiday makes it so much more relaxing. When we booked last year with VH we got it included for the V room and it was good great location think it was above JD sports and you can see the plane at the gate (this is in Manchester). I think by time you pay for a breakfast and coffee with airport prices you could be close to lounge price hence why we now book lounges. It allows you to chill out kids can play on Xbox and wii like games gives you a chance to skip car hire counter if you not done it as there is a VH rep in there. I also got my early entry ticket to Harry Potter from the rep in the lounge so I didn’t have to find them in mic or go a welcome meeting. My honest opinion is if I was paying I would pay for the aspire lounge as I prefer the seating area in there and quieter than the V Room but that’s cos my kids are grown up now. There are plenty of vids on YouTube.

We used the manchester one last year and would book it again.

Food was nice without being amazing but it was just nice to have a base with wifi, nice toilets and drinks etc.

Worth it for us for sure

we've used the gatwick one(before they moved) a few times and it does make for a much more relaxed start to the day. The food is nothing special but nice enough and saves on buying breakfast elsewhere.
The older kids usually play on the computer and I dibb while waiting for our flight to board. The soft play area was small but enough for the younger ones to let off some steam.

we used the one at gatwick in October and i cant recommend it enough, i felt it was an absolute bargain for the £20 each we payed, i mean in the airport that about buys you 2 coffees and two buns, i really cant see me travelling again without using it.

We are travelling from Gatwick this year for the first time, as usually Manchester. Does Gatwick have any Vegan option as will be very limited without.

Q. I have special dietary requirements, will you cater for these?

To us it's money well spent. We've got three kids and after we first did a lounge we've never looked back. Makes for a nice relaxing start to the holiday. Our kids loved the V room and wouldn't hesitate to book again if we were booked with VH.

Really enjoyed it, great start to the holiday. Bit of a faff sorting the car hire on the computer there but so much easier at the other end, plus better having to faff in British weather rather than the seering Orlando heat!
Like others said, by the time you've bought brekkie and a few drinks you've spent the same, if not more than the cost of the lounge.
We're flying VA this time, so can't get in the V-Room but looking for deals on the other lounges.

We have used it twice at Manchester, loved it. First time my children were 8 and 11, then 10 and 13.

Buffet style breakfast so you can keep going back. The pancakes at the touch of a button was a winner for them.

Games and toys for them to play with, toilets inside the room so no venturing outside the room.

They will announce when your flight is ready to go to the gate, so no clock watching or screen watching.

Completely worth it and you can just sit and watch the children, there will be other children they can play with, mine played fooseball with some lovely kids. Because you are in an enclosed space that is designed to be played in, you are not worrying about getting the children to sit down on chairs.
