Am really hoping for the dining plan to come in April for 2022.
Fingers crossed for that and the vaccine!

I'm keeping everything crossed that the dining plan returns for 2022. We will be staying in a deluxe resort either way, but love the dining plan and love not having to think about how much you're spending on food throughout your holiday. Free or paid for, we'd be getting the dining plan for sure.

I too hope that free dining disappears and that some of the 'old' signature dishes of yesteryear make a reappearance.

I have prayed frequently for the demise of the free dining plan and major changes to the paid one. It's been the major contributor to the loss of many great dishes/events and the main cause of menu dumbing down.
I understand that (never experienced the glory days as our first trip was 2010) but if the DDP does not come back, do you think menus would improve? I doubt it.

Yeah, I hope they would. They would have to try harder to attract cash customers and offer better value for money.

OMG Yeah, Kona Cafe's Five Spiced Mushroom Filet Mignon was the first casualty of the dining plan, and the first dish i would like to see back.

Anyone remember Chip & Dale's Ice Cream Social at Garden Grill too?

We're not waiting as I don't think we'll see the DDP back until 2022 at least.
We've booked for next autumn, but instead of onsite (we won't pay deluxe prices with no incentives / perks) we're staying at a couple of really nice offsite hotels with money left to pay for food!

We got that plan free the first time we had a DDP. Happy days.
