Sorry, another x box series x question

I have managed to get my son one for Christmas 🎉 its a total surprise so I can not wait to see his face when he opens it.
It comes with one controller, will the x box one controllers work on it or do I need to get another x box series x controller?
I am thinking he might want to play a game with his little brother 👍🏻

No any xbox controller will work, but the XseriesX controller will serve you better in the long run with features.

Existing controllers will work and that is the new controller. The rrp is £55, but loads of places have them at £45. I got one from Amazon but taking a NewDay card for a £30 voucher, so I paid £15.

It's a credit card that is being pushed by Amazon. You sign up for it and get an instant voucher for £30. I've no intention of keeping the card, I'll keep it in a drawer for a few months then cancel it. There are no fees or charges to apply/use it.
