Thomson- Sanford- disney
Hi!
If you book to stay at a Disney resort but fly to Sanford, how do you get transported to the resort? |

We had a resort transfer , think it was Mears that drive the bus, stopped at a few Disney properties dropping others off. We booked it as part of the package.

You can have a hire car or pay for coach transfers. We paid for the coach, didn't want the hassle of driving and no need to when staying on site. It was great. Only about 40 mins.

We land and stay at a local hotel with free shuttle night of arrival. Walking distance to a Publix so we get our American goodies in.
Land>Immigration>Bags>Shuttle>Publix>Sleep Next morning wake up jetlagged at 5am, breakfast at 6am then a $40 Uber to Disney to check into hotel and straight to MK for rope drop. |

If you can drive, but don't want a car the entire time. I would still consider a 1 way rental. When I looked at Alamo Brits for this, it was about £40 (plus fuel and tolls), pick up Stanford, return Disney 24 hours later. No bus schedules, no stops at other hotels, own space, can stop at shops on the way etc.

Thomson will provide a coach transfer for you for additional cost (I think it was around £30 per person return when we last went with Thomson, but that was quite a few years ago).
Or you can book a private transfer yourself (basically a taxi). We used Florida Magical Tours who are advertisers here on the DIBB. It cost us £120 in total (so £60 one way) back in 2014. Or, I suppose, you can use Uber or Lyft. Finally, and perhaps the most popular (?), you can hire a car and drive to your Disney resort.
