Hi - my daughter was diagnosed with arthritis (but has just been re-diagnosed with hypermobility) and sometimes used a wheelchair and sometimes didn't - we've always asked for a DAS card. When we went last year she wanted to walk it whenever possible. Our first park was Epcot and she was given a DAS with no issues at all. It was our first time using magic bands and they linked all 8 of our party together.

I have mobility/chronic pain issues and cannot stand for long periods, neither can I use a wheelchair for reasons that I won't go into. I can however walk slowly for quite a long time. For our last 3 trips I have has a DAS pass so don't let anyone tell you that you can't get one.
You have to explain why you need it though.
I used to send a member of our party to get the return time whilst I headed slowly to the ride that I had made a fastpass for. It made it much easier for us as I can not spend a whole day in the parks like a lot of people do.

Thanks again for the replies. I think we’ll give guest services a go and see if she can get a pass or look at the wheelchair option for when she needs it. Either should be okay.

Hello. Do you think you can update whether you are successful with the DAS please? My son aged 13 has a bone condition linked to arthritis (called hme) and had surgery in January on his left knee. He can’t stand for long periods. May have to hire a wheelchair as well.

Here is the link to the DAS card.

I don't think it says guests with wheelchairs and scooters are ineligible but that they may not need a DAS because there are wheelchair queues to many rides.

Got one

Just wanted to let anyone know if they have a child with a physical disability you can get the DAS pass. We did today for our son who has a rare bone condition but doesn’t usually use a wheelchair. The messages on here really worried me that we wouldn’t be entitled but it was no bother.

It’s encouraging to see that the DAS pass was offered to you both, I have rheumatoid arthritis and have had since I was 9 in one knee, and everytime I’ve ever had to use a wheelchair has made it worse- I need to keep mobile to make sure my leg doesn’t lock up. Standing in one place like in a slow moving queue also can trigger it so seize so I’m hoping that when I do eventually get to WDW I am eligible for a DAS.
