Magic Bands - Activating in UK?

Hello all

So my parents are going to Florida this year during October. I've asked them to purchase Magic Bands for our family holiday next year (Christmas presents for this year - we are staying offsite so will have to buy anyway) so we do not have to worry about lining up and purchasing when there.

My question is - when we eventually buy our Disney Park tickets - can we sync our Disney experience/tickets with the Magic Bands prior to going to Florida or do we have to sync them when we get to the parks?

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Mark

When you get the bands, you use the number on them to link them to your MDE account. Then when you get your Disney tickets, you link them to your MDE account. This automatically links your tickets and magic bands together so you can use your magic bands straight away for park entry, fastpasses etc

Hi
When you have linked your tickets to your MDE account you just link your magic bands to the account also using the serial number of each persons
We already have a Dumbo special edition that friends got us for our granddaughter and it's linked to her name in my account
So only have to link her ticket when we get it

First, make sure you have a Disney account (also known as an MDE account) set up. In addition, make sure all the members of your group are included and listed in the Family and Friends bit.

When you get your MagicBands, look at the back of them. There's a 12 digit Band ID stamped on the back. Take this band ID, go to your MDE account and link the MagicBands using the following webpage:

disneyworld.disney.go/link/magic-bands/

You will be asked to assign each MagicBand to a person in your group listed in your MDE account. BTW, here's where you can find the band ID:

The above will link the MagicBands to your MDE account.

When you get your tickets, you link them to your account in a similar manner. The MagicBands will be linked to the tickets via your MDE account.
