Contact lenses in water parks

Just wondering how people who wear contact lenses find the water parks?

I know the official line from opticians is to not let your contact lenses get wet at all but just wondering if other people find wearing their lenses ok?

I wear daily disposables and I just want to check they will be ok to wear for our day in typhoon lagoon.

I did think about goggles but I've read you can't wear them on some of the slides anyway and I don't really want to wear them if I'm honest.

Any advice from fellow lens wearers would be much appreciated!

I have been before with disposables. I would just try and keep your head out of the water as much as possible and take them the lenses out as soon as your done!

I have worn disposables at the parks. Again, after a water park I would take them out and have my glasses in a bag to wear afterwards.

Just take a spare pair in case. Never had a problem. I can’t see a thing without my lenses and always leave them in. Never used goggles.

Interested in this too! I'm blind without my glasses and was thinking of wearing some dailies and take my glasses too

I know it’s a cardinal sin but I just kept mine in - I even swam underwater with my eyes open - not on purpose, I just momentarily forgot I was blind in real life and wanted to make like a mermaid

I just changed them for fresh ones at the end of the park day xx

Prescription swimming goggles can be a great option for the water parks.
If you are going to wear lenses for swimming make sure they are daily disposable and that you dispose of them STRAIGHT after swimming. Also, stick to the glasses afterwards rather than putting a new pair of lenses in.

Why not just wear glasses? My GF has really bad eyes, she can’t have dailies or monthly’s. Hers last her 6 months. She just wears a older pair of glasses for the day with a sports strap. TBH we only go on the raft rides together as she’s not a fan of slides on her own
