Drayton Manor Experience (15/4)
We took a visit to Drayton Manor this week and thought I’d do a quick summary of our trip.
Masks Masks are required in shops and when riding, including indoor queues. Not many people followed this rule and staff didn’t challenge anybody either. Operations They have reduced capacity on rides to enable social distancing and this definitely happened. It does mean longer queues when there’s not so any people in the queue. They are also really slow at loading/unloading but I did witness intermittent cleaning. Queuing They are trying to reduce the amount of indoor queuing, where possible, and this was enforced. They will hold you outside until you can go up to the ride. It may look like the queues are really long but you end up just walking through most of the indoor bits so it’s not as bad as it looks. Zoo It’s a one-way system and the indoor attractions are shut. Rides Most rides were available but lots of building work where G-Force used to be. Also lots of work on the rapids. The whole area is being revamped as detailed in the recent park’s announcement. Overall not a bad day as we are so local and just wanted a leisurely day out instead of a longer intense day at the Merlin Attractions. One important thing to note is that parking is £6 now where it used to be free before. |

Yeah the parking was added for the Christmas event 2018 and was £2 but the 2019 main season started and it was £4 and the start of 2020 was £6 which is shocking when it’s the same price as Altons parking.
I got a Annual pass which is free parking. I been already twice and my 2 kids love it there and it’s less than 30 mins away. |

We went back in September and really didn't enjoy it. The loading and unloading was so slow it was painful to watch. Very frustrating.
