Cabana Bay or Sapphire Falls?

What's your thoughts

Hoping to book 2 weeks for next October 2021 - Non disney holiday.

Have stayed in SF before and its fab but never in cabana so just interested in comparisons or recommendations

Child age 12 travelling with parents and grandparents - once she has a pool she doesn't care what else there is

Price difference is minimal so that is allowing us have the choice between the 2.

Thanks

If I have the choice SF everytime. We couldn't stretch to a full trip in September to SF so are doing split between the two to get to experience both.

Have you looked at Aventura as well? One of my favourites and very reasonable.

I'd booked through attractiontickets.com for february next year for SF for a week but figured we won't go so moved it to september and they were so good about it. I'm so excited to try both, we're doing a standard room at Cabana for 8 nights and then a King Suite at SF for 3 nights. If you want to get the best of both worlds would definitely recommend looking into it

If we transfer between 2 hotels at Universal e.g. couple of nights at one and then couple of nights can the hotels transfer the luggage between the hotels?

As far as I know the top 3 will transfer your bags ( hard rock, royal Pacific and hard rock) but not the others. We have transferred to Aventura from Royal Pacific.

Stayed in Sapphire Falls two years ago. Absolutely loved it. It has a lovely lobby and just a fabulous atmosphere about it, plenty of places to relax, the bar is great and it was lovely to sit outside having a drink, you also get the boat downstairs straight to Universal. We stayed in Aventura last year, the lobby’s a bit basic, but it has a good food hall, which we enjoyed. It was great sitting in bar 17 on the roof, the view was just brilliant. They have a bus which takes you to universal, or you can walk over to Sapphire and get the boat. If cost was no object, would definitely stay at Sapphire .

I've stayed at Cabana Bay twice and absolutely loved it both times. The pools are great, the lazy river is really good and you can take cocktails round it!

You also have your own entrance to Volcano Bay which is great that you don't need to use the buses.

The rooms are really big! If you get a Volcano view room you won't be disappointed.

I've never stay at SF but I have been round it and used the water taxi a lot of times. It's a great looking hotel and we almost booked it for next year but we managed to get a bargain on Cabana Bay again.
