Just booked but had a nightmare

In Florida just now and had been emailed a quote from virgin holidays for September 2020. Thought it was a great price so I was to go on to manage booking and pay the deposit. So have booked 4 nights Clearwater then 10 nights at AKL so was really happy but then noticed after putting credit card details in that I’ve paid the whole £5500 😱😱. DH not happy I can tell you lol. Phoned credit card who said to phone VH But there shut 🙄. I know it will get sorted out but my stupidity has certainly put a dampener on things 😩😩

I’m sure they will realise your mistake and refund the payment. You have a 14 day cooling off period for internet purchases anyway.
If not take out a zero interest credit card and transfer your total. Pay the balance off monthly or when you intended to pay it with virgin. Interest free.

I had this happen with TUI but they made the mistake, ask for a partial refund and you should have it back in a few days. If they refuse then you may have to cancel.

Hi. We’re in Naples just now. Won’t be at the dolphin till next Tuesday. Will keep you updated 😊

There's no cooling off period on internet travel sales . Distance selling regulations do not apply.
That said most travel companies are helpful if you call within 24 hours but there's no legal obligation.
