Help with banker's draft question

hi,

can anyone tell me if a banker's draft should look like a normal cheque? I am going to collect my new car tomorrow and need a banker's draft but what they have given me looks like a normal cheque drawn on the bank's account.

Hope this isn't too stupid a question.

Thanks

karen

Sounds right to me.

(Just processed a job where I handled hundreds of millions of pounds in bankers drafts and most only look vaguely like a "normal" person cheque)

That is exactly what it should look like, it is just a cheque directly from the bank. They do seem insignificant considering their value.

You've got to love the use of "1.2" and "sport" in the same description!

Enjoy it - your first car is always very special.

A bankers draft is a cheque issued by a bank and signed by an officer of that bank, not by the customer (as one of your/my cheques would be).

Thanks guys!

and why does everyone laugh when I say I'm getting a Nissan Micra Sport?

When I told my boss she said it was a waste of a spoiler putting it on a Micra!

I can't wait to get it.
