I did this a few yeard ago when I left my camera in the pod that keeps your stuff dry when we went rafting.
I just cut a picture of it out of the Argos book and sent that with it - I mean if you have had it a while then its pretty obvious you would not have the receipt. I got the money back no worries. Also keep ringing the airport as when I left my walkman on the plane last year it was 5 days before it made it to the lost property section as the plane had gone back to Canada and it was a few days away. |

I'd give it a go although not sure how you'll do without proof of purchase. I'm guessing if your daughter bought it she used cash so you don't even have a credit card receipt?

will try the airport again the thing that makes me so mad is that because my other daughter dropped her ring we were the last passengers to leave the plane so it couldnt have being another passenger that picked it up it had to be someone on the staff and it was cash she paid for it as you say at least if it was credit card we would have proff of purchase thanks for the replies

I am sorry to hear about your daughters camera.
We have just returned and have to put in two claims. I lost my presription glasses, I think on a Disney bus and my daughters new digital camera was damaged on the plane. We were going to try and get the camera repaired but the insurance company don't think it can be repaired so we will just have to wait and see the outcome. I have had my glasses for a couple of years and they wanted a receipt and an acurate description of them (I have no receipt). Good luck with your claim. Lynn
