Mobile Gran Destino tower, CSR, wow!

Oh. My. Days. It looks amazing!
I am seriously considering asking Virgin if there is the option to upgrade to the tower.
Have you seen the pics? What are your thoughts?

Me too! It looks incredible, as tempted as I am to enquire about switching, I think I will stick with a regular room so I dont have to worry about looking very bedraggled after a day at the parks or time at the pool! 🤣

Wow! Was there much price difference in the rooms?
I'm so looking forward to being onsite and this resort is looking better every day.

I think the tower looks great but I think there’s a significant price difference to standard rooms. I do like the “village” style layout though.

About £200 for a 14 night stay at my dates.

Upside:

New Rooms

Latest Wi Fi tech installed as standard

Fully interactive TVs, to look at MDE, room service, disney streaming films, bus wait times.

At bus stop in mins ( fully undercover) and on return

Covered corridor to CSR restaurants and shops

Dedicated check in

Window you can look out of and not have to pull curtains

Many gismo charging points

Lounge for fireworks and restaurant just a lift ride away

Shall I stop ?

Hmmm, well, I didn't know all of this! I will make the call tomorrow and see if Virgin offer this upgrade then I can make an informed decision...

I am on the FB group too (going in Sept, eek!) and it does look incredible. Strange as it always comes out as the cheapest moderate (that was what made us pick it, several hundred cheaper than the rest) however everyone says it's head and shoulders above the other moderates.

I am going to stick with my normal room around the lake, as I prefer being able to open my door straight to the outside

I have it booked for December 2010, I didn’t even know about Grand Destino Tower build, I selected a “water view” room which was about £10 a night more and when I got the invoice it said Grand Destino Tower.

However we might not be going now as I think we will be going in April instead. (Although I have not cancelled it and will work on DH ).
