Universal Hotel Booking Query

We currently have a room booked at RPR for our upcoming trip. We bought annual passes last year and have just noticed that the APH rate is now available for our dates.

Does anyone know if we can just email the hotel and ask them to apply the APH rate to our existing booking or is my only option to cancel our existing booking and then rebook at the APH rate?

You'll need to cancel and book direct with Universal to get the APH rate.

I keep looking for we are staying during HHN so struggling to use our UOAP for reduced hotel room. We have a room booked with Booking.com so can cancel right up to the last minute so just keep checking each day. Universal will not apply the rate though unless you prebook.

AP rate for our room in Oct was nearly double what we have paid! No "normal" rooms available.
