Mobile Wot, no Disney?! August 2019 Day 4

Day 4? DAY 4? Where do these holidays go?

We planned to be at US for early opening again. I woke first at 6:15, and had to stir the others at 6:45. I am always loathe to wake the boys as they are generally early risers so if they’re asleep it’s because they need it!

We took the boat again and made it in at about 8:05. In some ways this was actually better as we missed the initial queue and walked straight in. Once again we headed straight for minions and were straight on. Next to diagon alley and back on the Gringotts. I’ve had enough of both these rides now! This is where I’m missing an itinerary and fast passes to keep us on track! Plus it’s very irritating that the Universal early access is currently only to US and is so limited in what you can go on. Anyway... back on the Hogwarts Express and over to IOA. We went on flight of the hippogriff - I forget just how short this is! It could really do with going round twice. The queue was nearly 30 minutes. In future we will only do this if it’s a walk on as otherwise it’s just not worth it.

We headed through into Jurassic Park. The boys spent ages with the talking fountain again. They love him!

Dh went and acquired a couple of corn dogs to share. Yum.

It was really hot today and the boys were being pains. DS1 is struggling a bit as this is the first year we’ve not had a double buggy so he’s having to walk and frankly he’s a pretty lazy ≈≈≈≈≈≈! We just had a cheap Walmart stroller for ds2 to sit in and it definitely wouldn’t be strong enough for him to share!
We decided to start heading out. Then DS1 wanted a drink and a rest. I made a cock up here. We stopped in the comic strip cafe. It was pretty empty when we entered. Dh went out to do something else. I had the boys and was going to go up an order. We stood up, a lady asked if we were leaving and I said YES. She took the table. Then I realised that in the space of 5 minutes it had filled up completely and there were no tables left and a massive queue for food. AND it had started raining... sigh. Dh returned and gave a me a very strange look and we left 🙄 We walked on down to cafe 4. Dh and ds2 wanted proper food by this point so ordered pasta. DS1 just wanted a cold drink. There is an arcade next to this and both boys really love playing these games so they had some time in there.

Hidden Mickey in the arcade!
DS1 got in a strop when he wasn’t allowed to exchange his tokens for sweets. He is a very sulky 7 year old! We then decided to go and do Spiderman before we left as neither of the boys had been on it before. Ds2 loved it, DS1 did not. I must admit it’s been a few years since I’ve been on it now and it’s not as good as I remember! Could definitely do with an update.

This was turning out to be the slowest park exit ever, does this happen to other people? You decide to leave and somehow 2 hours later you’re still there? We eventually made it out towards Citywalk when dh decided he wanted to stop at Coldstone Creamery again. I didn’t have anything this time. Dh had the same as yesterday (mint) and the boys shared a tub of chocolate with gummy bears and smarties. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they shared actually! Normally it does not end well!

Finally we made it back to the hotel. We weren’t sure what to do about dinner, try for Cowfish again or maybe head out to Longhorns... then dh was saying he was really full (I had said I did not think ice cream was a good idea at that time as it would fill everyone up and I was looking forward to a nice meal tonight. Spoiler... I was right to be concerned!)
Dh decided to go and do the laundry at this point as we had already built up a fair amount. When I messaged to say what about dinner he said it would be too late to go out so we could just go to the Bayliner Diner again. Grr. So we did. I had the Cabana Bay Burger which was fine and all the boys had chicken tenders.

Nothing wrong with it but it feels like such a waste to eat there two nights in a row when there’s so many lovely places we want to eat at! Better luck tomorrow...

Are you able to take any photos of the menus in Bay liner as we are going in a few weeks and would be interested to see what they currently offer and the cost.
