Mobile Alamo online check in should licence dates be the dates on the front or back of card?

Just doing online check in for Alamo. Should the licence issue and expiry dates be the dates the card is valid or do I take the dates from the back of the card?

On the front of your licence, 4a is the date of issue and 4b is the date of expiry. On the back of your licence is an explanation of the dates. The car hire people want to know that your licence is in date and this is on the front.

Nothing to add to the excellent advice you've already had but just out of interest.

On the front of my D/L the issue date says 06.01.2019 and the expiry says 16.01.2022 yet I passed my test in 1969. It's because I've now reached that exciting age when I have to renew it every 3 years.

Even on the back it's not clear because it says that I could drive a car <22.01.75 ie sometime before that date.

Suffice to say the guy on the barrier has never challenged any of the dates.

Mick
