What's the justification? I pay £100 a year for Tesla, but that's a good deal as it includes it's own 4G uplink (no phone required) google satellite maps nav and built in Spotify. These old school car makers need to change.

I haven't got a clue what you are on about.

I put the radio on as I like the light it displays. On the hour I turn it up for the News.

I do like the tray where I can charge the iPhone though without a wire. That's handy

Bad decision by BMW and at a time where they are losing business to Tesla. Our company fleet have swapped BMW for Telsa’s.

As the article explains, Apple Play is free on cars half the price!

I had the apple car play along with other gadgets where you speak and send a text whilst driving (not even sure sure if it's part of the same thing), but they were just gimmicks because I was happy plugging in a usb stick with all my music on and I'm not that desperate to send a text whilst driving. Providing the sound system is good I am a happy man.

Apple car play, like Android auto gives you the opportunuty to use otter services on your mobile/tablet etc using the cars screens.

Most use is people using the navigation system on their phones (google maps, Waze etc, as they are more up to date than built in nav systems, playing music and controlling the mobile for calls and texts.

Tge industry sees these two systems placing built in navigation systems over the next few years, Mitsubishi has already dropped inbuilt navs from their cars.

Wireless charging is having a mixed bag, some are fine, but VAG dropped the wireless charging pads as they found there were overheating issues.

I use a phone cradle with wireless charging
