Pre Trippie

Hey guys!

So this is a little weird because I'm actually writing this pre trippie after we've come back from the holiday (nearly a year after to be exact!). HOWEVER, this is to give you some background information on the trip report!

So, here's some introductions!

This is me!

My name's Charlotte and I'm currently 25 years old (I was 24 when we took this trip - I had my Birthday in Florida!). I first went to Disney when I was 9 years old (1999). I remember Animal Kingdom had only just been built and parks like IOA didn't exist. It's safe to say a whole bunch of things would of changed from 1999 - 2015! I am a huge Disney lover, even more so since coming back from Florida a second time.

I'll don't mind rides at all, most looking forward to trying ToT for the first time!

I should point out at this stage, I have an obsession with Sorcerer Mickey. He's easily my favourite character. This began after seeing Fantasmic! as a child in 1999 and watching in awe as Sorcerer Mickey appeared at the end creating all the fireworks. I bought a soft toy on the holiday and he's been very loved since. So anything with Sorcerer on... it usually has to be purchased!

This is David, my partner (in crime).

He's 30 years old (29 at the time of this trip). Never been to Disney before, actually never been out of Europe so this was his first long haul flight. He grew up on Disney, but it's safe to say since being together we have spurred each others love of Disney on.

He doesn't mind all the rides, however he was once sick at Thorpe Park after stepping off Nemesis Inferno, so I'm extremely cautious after this incident!

His favourite Disney film (and character) is Wall-E.

So in regard to our plans, we did quite a lot of online research prior to travel... but not enough. It was great to experience it as adults for the first time without having great knowledge of all the rides/resturants ect. however this did cut us short a few times.

Firstly, we didn't know about ADR. We didn't know we needed to reserve to eat at places like Be Our Guest and the like (fools!). We did plan in fast passes but again in hindsight we would of chosen different rides. Just a few little things which we will certainly learn from next time!

We were booked for 13nts through Virgin to stay at the Rosen Inn at Pointe Orlando flying from London Gatwick. We had booked tickets through Attraction Tickets Direct for all the parks, and also Blue Man Group for my Birthday.
