Some beaches opening in Florida

Some beaches are starting to open up in Florida. Iv been watching a few news feeds and there seems some positive movements in the state to get things open again. Considering the economy relies on tourism I’m not surprised.

I'd like to think this is positive news but i fear it's too soon and done for economy/political reasons.

Possibly but we just don’t know. In other warm climates the virus is quickly disappearing as the weather improves

I thought they were opening them up for exercise mainly but there seems to be some reports that particular beach areas are pretty busy with limited/no social distancing. Which seems to be showing this as a pretty controversial strategy especially if the infection/death rate starts to go up

It's been above average highs here in Florida for the last few weeks and yet our numbers are rising so don't count on that.

Many beaches never closed but remained open for exercise only.

I saw some footage on US TV earlier of a beach in Jacksonville. No social distancing, people sunbathing with coolers beside them. It goes against everything we have been told.

Friends in Rotonda say the local beach is opening on Monday. They are also going out on their boats.
