Sequoia lodge - travel day part 2

So we headed to Disney village had a McDonalds and then headed to Hollywood studios.
We decided as it was likely to be a short day because we were shattered, so we decided to do Studios park.
I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed with it. We last went about 19 years ago and I am sure I remember more. Aerosmith isn’t there, Armageddon isn’t there, lights Motors action isn’t there. We went on the Cars - used to be backlot tour. Then we queued and did Remy ride. We looked at Crush but DD wasn’t sure her stomach was up to it. So we just had a wander round and then decided to go and get some tea and a look in the shops and head back to the hotel for a decent sleep to be up bright and early ready for our full day.
We went to the New York Sandwiches in Disney Village. Places tend to do set menus - I just wanted fish and chips but it was 15 euros for a salad, fish and chips, a dessert and a drink. I didnt want the salad or any kind of dessert but she just wouldn’t have it and kept saying it was cheaper. So I had a salad and a yoghurt which went in the bin. The food was good. The chips were VERY good!
Then we went back to the hotel.
Sequoia Lodge - the hotel is nice enough. I wouldn’t say it’s tired - it’s clean and in good condition - I just think that it’s quite “dowdy” decor so might look a bit dated. 2 beds - think they are queen size maybe, lovely and comfy, large drawers, no fridge (which surprised me), bath/shower, sink outside bathroom.
The 2 restaurants are Buffett - we didn’t go to either. There is a shop which is quite expensive and a bar which serves sandwiches and stuff - again we didn’t go to it. I mentioned on my other post - shop actually has toiletries n stuff but you have to ask as they are under the counter - that surprised me. After seeing countless vlogs and visiting Florida - shops always have section of toiletries/suncream, plasters etc. but there was nothing on show- I had to ask.
But all in all was a fine base for the weekend.

We are gonna do the same- visit the Studios on our first full day ( when we are moving hotels) to get it ‘done’

Will prob only do the Aladdin ride, Ratatouile, maybe the Cars road trip, and Mickey and the Magician. Me and DH will probably nip back at some point to do Tower Of Terror.

Hopefully we will have all the toiletries we need, but good to know there are some there, and glad the beds are comfy at SL!
