Poolside drinks at Endless Summer.

Not sure if anybody knows the answer but going on holiday with some friends and they have asked me if they can take their own alcohol to the poolside as they don't want to pay the pool bar prices. I'd hazard a guess that definitely no glass at poolside and probably frowned upon and discouraged by the resort but who knows? Anyone ever done this?

Some hotels allow this and some forbid it, there doesn’t seem to be a general rule, have you reached out to endless summer they would be able to tell you

When we stayed at the Hardrock we just put ours in the universal refillable cups. Nobody ever questioned what was in them

We took some aluminium bottles of Bud Light to the pool area at Surfside and no one said anything to us

Couldn't they just drink soft drinks by the pool? As someone who drinks very little alcohol I don't understand the fuss about it. One glass of wine with a meal, yes, but not by the pool.

A cold beer by the pool on a sunny day is a thing of beauty. Hence the huge prices they get away with charging

I feel the same about a very large glass of very dry, very cold white wine.

We took alu bottled bud light/ miller etc to the pool at CB, they were the same ones they sold in the bar - we were just sensible - didn't sit near the bar and only took one down at a time.

We are staying at ES - DS in November and will be doing the same :-)

I absolutely love a drink by the pool and in the sun. I'm on holiday so why not. Each to their own!
