There are lots of loft conversions where we live, (including ours,) and they are all tile hung to match roofs. I have honestly never seen anything like this.

I live in a street of Victorian terraced houses and a lot of them have exactly the same style of extension but with black slats.

I know what it reminds me of, the ship at Typhoon Lagoon.

I'm glad it's worked out, basically, OK for you Claire. Seems to me it helped that you were assertive. but kept a balanced perspective about it all. Time to celebrate with cake?!

Maybe, they'll be constructing a lazy river next!

I don't mind it TBH. It looks neat and well finished. As you have space to the left of yours it looks well balanced. Plus you'll never even notice it, in a few weeks.

one of our neighbours had a loft extension which looks just the same as that so must be the new trend.

The way it just rained that's extremely likely.

What were the planning people thinking letting that be the outcome ..
Wait til it’s splattered with bird muck. ☹️
When ds applied for an extension his council were very strict of matching the extension to the rest of the houses in the street when it came to roof angles, colours and materials. It does look very nice now completed and certainly blends in and does not stand out as an extended house.

I don’t love it but I also don’t think it’s horrendous.
