Miami Beach
Hi, we’ve just booked an overnight in Miami for during our Orlando trip in September to visit South Beach. Just wondering if anyones been and if there’s any tips or advice for going. We’re a family of four, is there better bits of the beach for families etc?
Any advice appreciated. |

We are in Orlando just now, having spent two nights at south beach Miami when we arrived.
We stayed on right on south beach and it was fantastic. We have 3 kids under 13 and they loved spending time on the beach. Any part seemed family friendly and the water was safe and warm. We done a harbour boat tour on our second day and the kids really enjoyed seeing all the celebrities houses so I would recommend that also. |

Perfect thank you for the response. Having done a bit of research it seemed Miami was a bit of a Vegas type place, but seems that’s more at night.
We’re travelling down north ne day for the beach staying over then back first thing back to Orlando, so we will likely only get the beach in. Thanks again though. 😁 |

Where are you staying on Miami Beach? Mid beach is quieter/nicer for the actual beach itself in my opinion (we stayed at the Cadillac), but I would 100% go again and try out staying further along/closer into south beach to be nearer to the restaurants etc. too (although it’s all walkable and there’s free trolley buses too).
I’d recommend the Duck Tour - so much fun! I covered our 5 night Miami Beach stay right at the start of my November 2021 food report in my signature below.

Make your way to South Point Park which is near the Pier. It's beautiful as are the views. Plus if you time it late afternoon you might catch some cruise ships pulling away. It's a great sight!
