Cancelling Rewards flights Virgin

Hi there

I booked a one way flight from Manchester for my wife and I using points and one half of our companion voucher this morning.

We are having second thoughts after getting remortgage rates on etc and may want to postpone.

If I cancel the reward flights do you know if you get all the taxes and surcharges back and also is the one half of the companion voucher returned as well?

Yes, minus a £30 (or £35 maybe) admin fee and yes.

I cancelled my rewards flight was refunded all the taxes and fees minus a £30 admin charge. Can't speak to the companion flight.

Did it all through the online chat function.

Per booking, just seen you've posted 'this morning' though - get through to them within 24hrs of the booking and I'm pretty sure it's free.

You can cancel for free if you cancel within 24 hrs.

After that will be £30 per person, if you postpone they may do it for free. ( reward flight has to be available for your new booking)

If you need to cancel your flight, your points are fully refundable if the cancellation is made 24 hours before departure (a £30 fee per person will apply).
