Fontainebleau Hotel - Miami

Hi,

We are staying at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami for 1 night before travelling up to Orlando. I was just wondering if anyone has stayed here before and what you thought of it. Its essentially a place to crash for the night but appreciate any feedback. I've been quoted 2 different prices for valet parking so I have my e-mail ready.

Also, if anyone has recommendations for tea & breakfast in the area it would be appreciated.

Regards

Pete

Hi

Sorry we've not stayed there, but when we used to stay in Sunny Isles, North Miami Beach we used to drive past the beautiful mural on the side of the complex

Apparently it's gone now, but it was a happy moment when we saw it, like, "we've arrived!"

Hotel Reviews: 1
The Fontainebleu is on Collins Avenue at 44th street, surrounded by other hotels and giant apartment blocks, opposite the grand yachts moored on the intracoastal. Unless you want to eat in the hotel itself (fabulous all you can eat breakfast for $32 a head last time i was there. You will be too stuffed to eat for another week) or one of the other neighbouring hotels, which offer cheaper alternatives, You have quite some distance to go to find a stretch of street eating places.
However, there is a brilliant very frequent bus service which runs the length of Collins Avenue which will take you to South Beach (approx 25-30 streets south, too far to walk but plenty of choice).

We havent stayed but did visit and had lunch a few years ago. The food , sushi rolls, was excellent but very expensive.
The hotel was lovely but the pools were absolutely packed.
