Surprised at the weight of the toiletries in cases

Just got my packing cubes out and realised I won’t fit much of them in due to having a medium case.

Sorting out the toiletries, etc I have just lifted the case and it’s so heavy! Will have to divide it between mine and hubbys lol

How do you lay yours out?

I just take dregs, enough to last the holiday..then bin all the empty bottles.

This... And/or get a few travel bottles and tubes and decant into those. And/or it's a good excuse to try some American toiletries!

I’m talking showerjel. Shampoo ckndiditoner, hairspray, sun lotion, toothpaste etc

I started taking shampoo bars and cleansing bars etc rather than bottles, for me that seems to have made a difference in terms of space/weight in the case. Buy certain things like sunscreen and body moisturisers over there.

Most hotels provide toiletries so we use them and just take my conditioner and suncream.

Also don't take a hair dryer anymore when one is provided.

take only what you need - hairspray? it is humid and hot so do you really need it? As long as the case is within the allowance it doesn't really matter how much you take as long as you don't bring it back again.
The weight /space is then for anything you buy over there

Just buy what isn't provided by hotel.
Only take perfume and aftershave.

I always have travel sized toiletries, Superdrug often has them on 3 for 2. We also pick up freebies from our world travels.
I can’t use hotel provided shampoo/conditioner, I have tried it in the past but it often make my hair feel like straw, I do use the shower gel though.

DW seems to take half of her bodyweight in toiletries which then makes her case too heavy so have to repack all the cases.
