American Crime Story - Netflix

There’s two of these, absolutely phenomenal TV, especially the Versace one- I never thought a TV show could cause anyone to have some sympathy for a psychotic serial killer but that does.

The two shows are People vs OJ Simpson and the Assassination of Gianni Versace.

Both true stories.

Have some big stars in.

Nominated for 30 odd Emmys between them.

New one coming soon based on Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky incident. Lewinsky is going to be a producer on that as well as show runner on them all Ryan Murphy.

Best TV I’ve seen since lockdown.

My partner and I were absolutely hooked by the OJ series despite knowing next to nothing about it at the beginning. I found Gianni Versace quite difficult to watch and had to have breaks between each episode instead of binging it, I definitely didn’t have any sympathy for the killer! I love American Horror Story and Pose by Ryan Murphy and keep meaning to watch Hollywood which was recently added to Netflix. His shows can be extremely schlocky and high camp but they’re great escapist quarantine viewing!

Without too many spoilers did you see the one where it went back to his childhood and younger days? Quite shocking. No doubt turned him into the psychopath.

I did...his dad definitely played a big role by turning him into such an entitled narcissist. I have a degree of sympathy for him but lots of people grow up in the shadow of their parents’ big dreams and don’t turn out to be murderers!
