Stobard Air connection from Edinburgh but under BA flight number : Check-in

So We are doing EDI-DUB-MCO all booked through BA and with BA flight numbers for everything so must be a code share with Stobard Air (says it's operated by Aer Lingus)..

But when I log in to Manage my booking on BA it says "online check-in opens" and then it just has 24hrs before our RETURN FLIGHTS home.

Does that mean I can't check-in online right through for the EDI-DUB-MCO flights then?

There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to.

We have similar to you but flying LGW-DUB-MCO on a BA ticket flying Aer Lingus on the way out but Iberia ticket flying BA home. On BA website I can do online check in 24 hours before return flight. When I spoke to AL they said that the type of ticket I have I won't be able to do online check in with them it will have to be done at the airport the morning we fly so could this be the same as yours? He did reassure me it's no problem at all, after all that's what we all had to do before the internet 😃

Forgot to say when you get to EDI you'll be able to check in for both parts of the flight as long as it was bought under one ticket

I recently flew from BHX-DUB-LAX on a BA/Aer Lingus code share. It was booked through BA and operated by Stobart Air and Aer Lingus.

I checked in online but 24 hours before the DUB-LAX segment rather than the BHX-DUB segment. I couldn't book or change seats online but I'd already phoned and reserved these in advance.

Watch out for hand baggage allowances. Some passengers hadn't realised a smaller hand baggage allowance applied to the Stobart segment. It took ages to board as larger bags didn't fit in the overhead bins and there was a group of ladies with small cases, handbags, shopping bags and coats! We both took backpacks and they fitted in the overhead bins with no problem.

Thanks - I've looked on Aer Lingus and both EDI-DUB and DUB-MCO are showing on their, but check-in is 24hrs before the DUB-MCO leg.

If I check in online for DUB-MCO then not sure if we can still do the pre-clearance and have loggage go all the way through to - so confused with it now!

All passengers do pre-clearance as the gate is past TSA. Just follow the signs to the gate and TSA is on the way.

My DH was disappointed that he didn't get time to have a proper pint of guinness! There is a small bar close to the USA gates but not much else.

Thanks - did your luggage go straight through as well then if you didn't check in for the first domestic leg until you got to the airport as you would have 2 separate check-ins?

It was tagged straight through going there and coming back. The 1st time we flew the route (2014) we were shown a picture of our luggage on a screen at Dublin to confirm it was ours, this last time we didn't but I think the TSA agents were looking at bags on a screen.
