Fantasmic and Star wars show on same night?
Hi All
Sorry if this has been asked (and answered) a thousand times already, my forum searching skills are up there with my ability to open supermarket carrier bags in a reasonable time. Our window to book the Fantasmic Dining package opens on Thursday which we usually do and planned to this trip also, however the Star Wars show is of more interest being new to us (and me being a massive star wars geek). Is it possible to see Fantasmic and the Star wars projection show on the same night, or do we need to schedule in 2 evenings at DHS? With only doing a flat 2 weeks this time evenings are at a premium and with all the goings on at DHS we hadn't planned on doing more than an early morning visit and then evening for the entertainment. Yes you can see them both on the same night. Fantasmic is usually around 8.30 and SW Fireworks around 9pm or 9.30pm
Edit to add that is the case in May when we go... might not be the same all year round. Check out the park hours section on the dibb as they have the showtimes. Edited at 06:52 PM. |

We went last 2 weeks of August last year and the Star Wars fireworks were going off halfway through Fantasmic, so its not always the case. (And yes that does spoil Fantasmic somewhat :angry
In fact, even with 45 minutes between the shows your unlikely to get to see the Star Wars show from a good position. Fantasmic is nearly 30 mins long, and getting out with the thousands of other guests is not quick. Edited at 06:59 PM. |

When we watched fantastic in May last year it was delayed due to weather and the Star Wars fireworks started as fantastic ended, so missed most of it. Plus you need to get there early to get a good vantage point. Wouldn't recommend trying to do both, for us fantastic was a bit of a disappointment but know some people love it. Just going for the fireworks next time!

I think they do this in purpose to avoid having too many people in the one place. We went to Fantasmic last July and even running out we only caught the last 5 minutes of the fireworks. This time we are missing fantasmic.

They also clashed when we were there in September. As previously said it's probably to avoid masses of people moving between the two and instead splitting the crowds. Last year we just popped in to DHS one evening for the SW fireworks without any rides planned.

Recent trip Fantasmic was at 7.30 and Star Wars fireworks at 8 (if I don't remember wrongly).
I watched Fantasmic from one of the spots very close to the exit. As the boats with all the characters came out, I made a quick exit and fast walked to the hub area, where they were directing us to an area that was actually fairly near the front and had a very decent view of the projection screens, so I got a decent view of the SW fireworks too! So it's doable to do both in the same night but... - May need to miss part of Fantasmic - Chance of not getting a good spot for the SW fireworks, which is important as they are quite dependent on the projections
