Mobile Price increases!

Any thoughts folks...
4 adults 1 child... To POR 1 st two weeks of March... quote for 2017 was £5700...
Current quote for 2018 is approaching £7200...
That's almost 25% increase...
Is this the kind of change folks are seeing or is it time to get a quote from elsewhere?

When I price up the same thing next year as what we have this year it comes to over a grand more expensive... same dates and everything

It's a shame ... But there's no way I can budget for a 25% increase...
Unless a bargain comes a long ...it could be a good while before we get the chance to return ... Booo

The value of the £ has a lot to do with this i think

Before the drop it was roughly 1.45
So 5700 x 1.45 = $8265
now at 1.20
7200 x 1.20 = $8640

Not a huge increase in the dollar value of the holiday.

Prices have gone up - your POR & tickets portion of that cost is around £4.5k, which is probably a good £500 more than last year.

However, I think you're being stung on the flights, especially for that time of year (assuming it's before Easter holidays).

So whilst yes, prices have gone up, it's not quite as much as your prices. Also, I'd be waiting until free dining is released to make any final decisions

Our holiday in June this year for 3 weeks is far more expensive on the same dates in 2018. £400 more on the package and then next year the $19.95 per night + tax resort fee won't be included. Then our ticket packages would be an extra £400.

This is based on 2 adults with Thomas Cook staying at Doubletree by Hilton at SeaWorld.

Prices do seem more than the normal increase but I do wonder if Disney will offer extra discounts (like the current 25% off ticket promo) next year ... I normally like to book far ahead but it's tempting to wait and see if I can get a better last minute deal for 2018 ... If only I had a crystal ball

You've hit the nail on the head, as a country we made the choice to do certain things - that's the joy of democracy, those things affect how much our money is worth to people elsewhere

We need to stop being teenagers and expecting others to cover the shortfall in our budgets because of decisions we made on our own

these prices will change, we are staying at POR this year mid to end of may and paid close to your original quote (slightly over) for this year, but virgin were charging over 8k for the same time.

it was coming in around 7k with thomson when we first started looking then the price dropped to under £1500 each
