We rarely have to sign for under £50 but it's a swipe rather than contactless.
We were on the buses / trains last week in London and it was very easy but I have no idea how much my journeys were costing which is a but disconcerting. |

Know what you mean😀. Just checked my statement for last week to see. £6ish for 4 journeys seemed quite reasonable.
But yeah. US has always seemed a generation behind on payment technology. And very rarely had a signature checked in US. But then if we go by the movie cliche, kids were always borrowing credit cards, often with permission and expected no problems. So maybe there is cultural resistance to more secure forms of payment. End of unsubstantiated over generalisation 😉 |
