Bonus Trip To The West Coast: Day 9
Last day today! I have to say wasn't too sad about going home - was looking forward to getting back to John and Kirby cat. Plus the temperature for the next few days was looking a bit much! I had pretty much packed the night before and charged electrical stuff overnight, so I was able to check out and get to the parks fairly early on. Love the little details! I picked up a fastpass for the frozen show in the royal theatre, then a fastpass for space mountain (the royal theatre one isn't linked to the system) and then went on the tea cups . This was literally a walk on! I then went on the storybook rise. I like this in Paris for a bit of relaxation. Didn't like it here quite as much (boats seem a bit unstable?!) Next was its a small world (has to be done!). I then picked up a fastpass for big thunder mountain and went on space mountain. I was debating where to go for lunch and decided I actually really enjoyed the lunch from yesterday so got pretty much the same thing! Except this time I got the carrot cupcake - so so good! I sat and read for twenty mins keeping an eye on the fastpass queue for the royal theatre. When it headed into the theatre I jumped up and joined it . This was s great show - enjoyed it a lot! After the show it was time for my big thunder fastpass. I love this ride and it's generally my last when at disney I headed out and spotted the dapper dans I headed over to California adventure as there was a shop there i wanted to get a bag from. I was really happy to see Oswald as I had been keeping an eye out for him! About 330 I went to catch the bus back. My shuttle was booked for 515, but I didn't want to risk the buses not turning up so looked to allow as much time as possible. As it happens the shuttle bus driver turned up at 450 anyway! I was the only one being picked up (felt bad as my fare was only $22 as it was meant to be a shared shuttle!) and I got to LAX quickly. There was a pretty sunset when on the travelator Panda Express for dinner - hurrah! The flight boarded on time. I was delighted to find I had four seats just for me . I was able to lie down and sleep a lot of the flight. I definitely had s cold coming on though and was getting a bit feverish, but considering how much I normally struggle with night flights, it was a good one! I got to my coach just in time. It seemed to take forever to get to Birmingham. Eventually I got home at 8pm, so quite s long travel day. I went to bed about 10 and slept through to 8am the next day. Can't complain at that! |

I thought it would be nice to round off with some photopass pictures
Thanks everyone for reading along! I had a great trip, was lovely to be back in California. For the first time in a long time I am left not knowing when my next Disney trip will be, which makes me slightly nervous... Maybe time to start researching conferences in Tokyo or Hong Kong...! |

A lovely last day. It's always a bonus when you get a good flight home. Your photopass photos are brilliant, and I love the one of you taking a selfie with Olaf.
Thank you for sharing your holiday.

Thank you! Oh that would be fab, really hope it works out for you!
Thanks for reading! That reminds me - there was a very disappointing lack of Rafiki in the parks! Thanks! The pic with Olaf is now my facebook profile pic - love that little guy! I know, so good! I normally really struggle on night flights with restless leg, and the only way I can combat it is to have my legs up. So four seats to myself was an absolute dream! Isn't it just! My first ever American trip my friend and I first discovered Panda Express when in Salt Lake City. Wherever we found it from then on it became our stable diet! Awww hope you have fun! And do a trippy too ! |
