Free dining plan?
Hi,
Can I have some help please! We're looking at going (2 adults) for a fortnight in early December this year... If I understand right the free dining is usually bookable from April? Does this mean if we hold off booking accommodation for a while we could get free dining plan? Do Disney usually up the prices when the discount is on? At the minute the cheapest Deluxe looks like Animal Kingdom at £1000 for a week (we'd then stay a week at universal). We went last year but didn't stay on site... If the free dining comes out it could make it an option for us but I'm not sure if you can only book a year in advance? Thanks! |

You've missed free dining for 2016. The free dining that is being released in April is for 2017.
The US site may have free dining for your dates. Though I'm not sure if they're released yet.

Uk free dining deals will be for 2017 if they happen.
US free dining, if it happens, will be for this year. Last year it included some December dates, but I don't think it included the first two weeks as we've been looking at those weeks too. Vickie (loves2plan) has posted last year's US free dining deal a few times, so try searching the forum. Last year the US deal came out on 27 April. |

The free dining released next month will be for dates in 2017.
In the past the US site has offered free dining for the same year but I'm not sure if it has ever included December. Someone will come along who knows... There is usually a room discount available in early December (AFTER the Thanksgiving weekend - so this year I think the cheaper rates would start on 28/11). Personally, I think a week at AKL for £1,000 is pretty tasty! I'd have a hard time passing that up...£143 per night if my mathematics don't fail me. AKL is a GORGEOUS resort with lovely pools, amazing animals and some of the best restaurants on property. EDIT: Someone already came along! Edited at 10:48 PM. |

Thanks guys... We'd originally planned to go back 2018 with dining plan etc so this year would just be a sneaky extra trip... I think we might be best staying in a villa perhaps and then really doing Disney onsite / dining plan / immersion next time...
So much to think of! Ta |

(sorry to butt in OP) so if your stay starts in November, will the free dining be for your whole stay or just until the end of Nov?
Starting to plan for 2017 already!

US dining usually goes up to about the 21/22/23 Dec depending. We've been lucky enough to have it twice. Once from the 20th and once from the 23rd. It's normally released around late April I think

great thanks!
we're planning 3 weeks but incl 1 week DCL and the other 2 weeks split between Disney, US and I-Drive so the free dining will probably determine which order we do things!
