Blizzard Beach Refurbishment Change

Disney have now changed the scheduled closure of the Blizzard Beach water park to be a week earlier.

Disney planned to close the park on Sunday 23rd October for the normal annual refurbishment. But that has now been brought forward a week and it will now close on Sunday 16th October. Reopening Sunday 25th December.

yes gutted about this, my 6 year old son has done nothing but look at blizzard beach water slides for about the past year

I am so annoyed about this! I think to give such short notice is really bad PR! We have never been and this has put a stop to us going this trip!

Really disappointed in Disney especially since we go tomorrow :angry:

Received the email re park hours this morning and was a bit disappointed as we had pencilled in BB for our 1 st day, nevermind will have to do TL instead! Does anyone know if the mini golf will still be open outside BB?

Great. Didn't get to go in 10' in February and now going to miss out in '16. Little sister would have loved the family raft ride.

Thanks for this SMAX. I'd rescheduled my plans to squeeze this in before it closed. It's really helpful because I would have been disappointed turning up to a closed park. So thanks extra shopping or park day?

Am i right to presume if blizzard beach is closing for refurb this october it will be typhoon lagoon next year?
