Mobile Missed final payment Attraction Tickets

I’ve realised this evening that the final payment on our booking with Attraction Tickets Direct was due on 14th December and I missed it! I just went to pay it and there is not enough room on the credit card 🙈 I’ve made a payment to the card now but it’ll be at least Monday evening or possibly Tuesday morning before it’s gone through and I have enough available credit to make the payment to ATD. Anyone any idea what happens in this situation? Is the booking cancelled or do they contact you first? Or is there a few days grace? I will ring them in the morning but I’m panicking now and wondering if anyone has been in this situation before!

I’ve not been in that position before, but I’m sure they will contact you before it’s definitely cancelled, ring them first thing
Good luck

Could you get a small increase in the credit card limit just in case. You could always request a decrease later.

It takes a day or two for a decision to be made and by that time the payment would have gone through

So everything turned out fine with Attraction Tickets Direct - in the end! The first person I spoke to was worse than useless, said she didn’t know as she didn’t deal with hotels and best thing to do was to email customer service - despite the fact that’s who I’d rang! Then I tried the Dublin office (as we’re in Ireland) but there was no answer so I left a message. So then I tried ringing customer service again and explained again what was happening. The lovely person I spoke to said “no problem, I’ll just put a note on your account that you’ll pay on Tuesday”. Great - I thought!
But by this morning there was still no payment (made on Sunday evening) showing on my credit card so I still couldn’t pay ATD. I thought I’d wait and check again this afternoon but still nothing. So I rang them - there was no evidence of a payment ever being made - argh! Even though I’d set the payment up on the credit card company website!
After much discussion they agreed that they would take a payment over the phone and as it wouldn’t be clear until midnight they would also temporarily increase my limit so I could pay for the holiday!
What a drama! But we have now paid and I have vouchers in hand for our Universal hotel and tickets - phew!
