I really like Standard Premier - you get bigger seats in a much less crowded carriage. You'll also be given a cold food selection, on the way out it's normally a croissant, jam, a bread roll, yogurt and a cup of orange juice plus coffee, tea or hot choc.

On the way home it's normally a cold salad of sorts, normally one meat and one veg option. You'll also get some sort of cold dessert and a drink.

I used Standard Premier in September and thought it was great and would definitely be worth £7! The seats are bigger and the carriages more spacious and you get a cold meal and drinks. I had a chicken + couscous salad, some sort of cake, a bread roll, a biscuit and a cold drink. This was from Paris though - I don't know if it's any different from MLV.

Definitely. We usually get a good upgrade price on the return and it’s nice having a quiet spacious carriage to help with the blues.
