So very sad. I’m so sorry to read this. I had terrible pnd after both children, more so after my second child.
Awful thoughts of just ending it, used to plan it in my head. I never tried to do it. I told my Dh how low I was. I told GP (twice) they ignored me, said I was just sleep deprived.
I’ve no idea what my turning point was, I did end up seeing a different gp. I started on some medication, no longer on it now. I’m so much better.

That's so sad to hear.

I lost my dad in 2010 - he took his own life (I have posted on The Dibb previously about this). I think of depression now as a terminal illness - it's his depression that took him from us. The impact on my family has been tremendous, contributed to the death of my mum and is still felt today.

We need to end the stigma around mental health issues.

A former work colleague took his life on Easter Sunday his mum found him hanged out of his bedroom window he was 26 years old and had a lovely girlfriend and a 5 year old daughter.
I still got the last text he send me 4 days before. It’s been a bad year for people passing away at work as 4 months later another co worker had a heart attack and passed away on Holiday aged 44.

It's not always that easy to talk to somebody.

There seems to be a terrible amount of mental health and suicides at the moment. Up until this year I had only known one suicide in my entire life. Now I know of two in the past 3 months and another who has attempted it. Also know one person receiving private counseling due to waiting list and two people waiting. It's horrific.

My Sister nearly took her own life years ago. She’s on antidepressants and she said she’s only still here cause of her 4 kids.
My uncle hung himself 32 years ago he was a big drinker and smoker. He left a note and hung himself in the loft. My cousins aged 3 and 1 at the time have growth up without a dad.
