If I remember correctly, you had to pierce the back to activate it.

I've never had one in my car, never did like the smell, as far as I can remember my parents never had one either.

I used to be an auto-electrician and they were the bane of my life. But the yellow magic trees were worse. You have the vanilla smell stuck up your nose for days.

Before I opened this thread I was sure the photo was going to be one of the gold coloured round tins, full of hard fruit sweets. They were covered in the white sweet powder. Every glove box had to have one!

This type? My Uncle always had one of these tins (or similar) in his car.
