Excited about Disney

Seaworld, Busch Gardens & Aquatica seems a bit of a bargain?
We are going to Orlando in August (positive vibes!). We usually stop in a villa do the Disney parks, but this year decided we'd give the parks a miss as it seems very much a pared-back experience without being pared-back in prices.
Tickets for 5 of us, with parking on top would be pretty much £2,250. I started looking at maybe just a couple of days at Universal, but with priority passes they were coming out pretty expensive. Then I happened to look at Seaworld and realised that their 3 park (Seaworld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica) 14 day ticket is very cheap and also comes with free parking. For 5 of us its going to be only £550 including parking! Is it just me or does seem like a massive bargain? Sure its not Disney, and it won't be as magical as Disney, but everything I've read about Aquatica is very positive and some people rate it as the best water park in Orlando. I suspect there's not 14 days of activity to be had out of them, but we'd definitely do 4 days at the water park and 2 days each at Seaworld and Busch, with the option of more trips if we wanted. Sometimes at Disney I feel like we need to visit all 14 days to get value for money out of the tickets, which means we don't get as much chill time by the pool aa we'd perhaps like. With Seaworld even if we went for only 8 days, thats £14 per person per day! This also gives us more chill time at the villa pool, more shopping time, more relaxed meals out where we aren't rushing. It just seems the perfect solution to me. Anyone else think its a bit of a bargain? Interested on people's thoughts of value for money here vs Disney as it stands with so much closed. Yes it is a massive bargain , we did this with a Discovery Cove day and it was great , loads to do, low crowds, no planning needed, if you pick the right dates Seaworld does the concerts and Food Festivals like Disney do too and they also do a good eat all day package , our passes also had free parking.
We love BG both for the animals and the big coasters too. We had done Disney the year before and honestly didn’t miss all the planning and crowds one bit ! Edited at 02:28 PM. |

It’s a very good value ticket especially if you do it with a day Discovery Cove. However I do feel, and just my opinion, that the standards of staffing and upkeep at Busch Gardens and Seaworld in the parks aren’t in the same league as Disney and Universal. We love Aquatica and Discovery Cove though.

We got this 18 months ago, it was very good although we were disappointed with Sea World (gone downhill, haven’t been for years), Busch is fantastic.
I had Busch booked again for last Xmas and they gave me my cash back no issue on non refundable tickets.

My husband and I had this ticket September 2019 and really enjoyed it. We did Seaworld a couple of days and spent a few days in Clearwater going to Busch Gardens a couple of the days and a couple of days at the beach. We also did about 3 days at Aquatica so great value for money

It is a great bargain and I'm one of those that thinks Aquatica is the best water park in Orlando!

We love BG & the more relaxed vibe there. Since you’d be saving money on park tickets, you might want to consider staying in the Busch Gardens/Tampa area for a few nights. Saves on the driving time & you could have a beach day as well. Some good shopping malls there - premium outlets, Bradenton Mall, international Plaza & lots more.

Every time we visit these days, the four of us sit down and list our preferences 1,2,3.
Discovery Cove Ultimate non swim (around £150 at Easter or Summer Hols). Universal 14 day and will have a single night in a Premium (£275 plus £90pp for the Hotel) A Disney 14 day (£400?). Every time we get 4 no1 votes for the D.C. ultimates and either 3 or 4votes for Universal, with 0 or 1 for Disney. Of our 8 visits since our first visit when we knew no better, we have Purchased 8 Discovery Cove Ultimates, 6 Universals and just 2 Disney’s (none in the past 5 visits).. I believe that the SW, BG, AQ and even more so with D.C. is simply the greatest ticket in town by a Country mile. It is worth remembering that adding on the D.C. part will result in including all of your spending money for that day as you can eat and drink as much as you like. It is always our best day in Orlando.
